	Our Mission Despite the medical care given to individual animals, millions of dogs and cats continue to be killed at animal shelters each year. Research shows that many of these animals are forfeited to shelters because of behavioral problems. We are determined to prevent this tragedy by offering behavioral consultation services for animals with problems.
	Behavior Consultations Behavior consultations will help you change your pet's behavior. During the consult, we discuss the problem in detail to determine the extent of the behavior problems. We provide a diagnosis and a detailed treatment plan as well as follow up. Our methods are based on sound scientific knowledge and focus on humane effective techniques.
	Is Your Dog... Growling, snapping or biting? Upset when you leave him/her alone? Afraid of people or dogs? Barking all the time? Out of control on walks? Not house trained? 	Dr. Emily Kinnaird received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1979. She also has a Masters of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland, Australia, where she taught veterinary medicine for six years and ran behavior clinics. Her passion is behavioral medicine and she is pleased to be offering behavioral counseling here at Earlysville Animal Hospital.
